Lady Gaga paves the way for the release of her third studio effort, “Born this Way”, in a big way, or ways.
First off, Gaga’s two-night Madison Square Garden gig, dubbed as Lady Gaga Presents The Monster Ball Tour: At Madison Square Garden, will be presented by HBO all throughout May, starting on the 7th at 9 PM. The concert was recorded over two nights, from February 21 to 22, and features live performances of Gaga’s chart topping hits like “Bad Romance”, “Alejandro”, “Poker Face”, “Just Dance”, “Telephone” and her current single, “Born this Way” brought to life on stage through a ten-man live band, ten backup dancers, choreography from the singer’s dance pal Laurieann Gibson, and the tenacious stage presence of the Queen Monster herself, Lady Gaga.
The HBO special will be followed by the singer’s guest performance at the season finale of Saturday Night Live, to be hosted by Justin Timberlake. The episode will air on May 21, just two days before the singer’s album hits the shelves. The last time Gaga appeared in the iconic sketch show was in October 2009, where she acted alongside fellow music icon and royalty, Queen of Pop Madonna, in the “Deep House Dish” sketch of the said episode.
“Born this Way” hits stores on May 23.
