On January 14 when a new song named “Animal” first hit the internet lots of fans thought it was a leaked song from Lady Gaga.  The sexual lyrics, dance floor melody and thumping beat sounded like it could very well be a track from the singer.  The website that hosted the so-called leak labeled the song as a Lady Gaga track.

In fact “Animal” is not a song from Lady Gaga.  The singer’s rep told MTV News, it’s not a Lady Gaga record.

However there will be new music from Lady Gaga soon.  The release of “Born This Way” is scheduled for May 23.  On February 13, Gaga will be dropping the album’s first single on the same day that she performs the track during the Grammy Awards.

Lady Gaga last month revealed that her highly anticipated single would be released in February.  She told all her little monsters she was very excited to share her song with them.  She said thank you for your support.  I can’t wait to perform “Born This Way” for you.  This is killing me.  It will be this decade’s greatest album.  I promise you.  I won’t ever let you down.  The album is finished.  It is f— really great.

From the producer who brought the wacky Kardashian clan to the small screen comes a new E! reality show featuring choreographer to the stars Laurieann Gibson as she leads the journey aspiring choreographers would have to take as they gear up for Hollywood work.

Gibson has some heavy dancing credits under her name.  After breaking in the business as one of the Fly Girls, along with a then unknown Jennifer Lopez, for “In Living Color”, Gibson has appeared in several other TV shows such as the MTV reality show “Making the Band” and the ABC “Dancing with the Stars”  spin-off, “Skating with the Stars”.  As for her work as a star choreographer, Gibson has worked with R&B and hip-hop heavyweights Alicia Keys and Diddy, and recently, with pop diva Lady Gaga, with whom she tagged along for the singer’s world tour.

E! has picked up the show for 8 episodes and has a working title of “Dance Scene”.  The show is set to premiere this spring on April 10.

Months after announcing the title of her follow-up to “The Fame Monster” at the MTV Video Music Awards, Lady Gaga has tweeted the release date for “Born This Way”, her third studio effort set to hit shelves on May 23.

The lead title cut from the set will hit the airwaves on the same day of the Grammy Awards, on February 13, where the pop-dance diva leads the pack of nominees with six nods.  Word is that she will be dropping the single for the first time on the awards show.

“Born This Way” has a huge figure to beat and live up to.  Its predecessor, “The Fame Monster” which spawned 2010’s biggest hit “Bad Romance”, is also 2010’s biggest selling album, moving close to 6 million copies in the past year.
