Lady Gaga Gets Star Treatment on Glee

Posted by Chase Jackson On May - 26 - 2010

The cast of the FOX show “Glee” will pay homage to Lady Gaga, the singing sensation, in dance, song, and most important of all, in outfit.

Last night “Glee,” in a “Theatricality” ode, featured cast members from New Directions, both female and male, all dressed up in some of Lady Gaga’s more memorable outfits.

The pop star has many wild ensembles.  Here is a list of them.

There is the lobster headpiece, first of all, accompanied by black spandex pants; a black sculptural bustier with silver triangular panels; a mock Armani orbitalal gown worn by Gaga at the 2010 Grammys; an outfit with hula hoop skirt and plum colored wig; two metallic outfits; a recreation of the “Armadillo” Alexander McQueen dress along with the matching heels that were seen in Gaga’s video “Bad Romance” during the “Walk, Walk” portion; tight lace black leotard outfit with floral hat to match; a recreated dress with Kermit The Frog featuring various stuffed animals stapled to the dress; and finally her bubble costume from her staged “Poker Face” acoustic versions (without the bubble filled piano).

Today Gaga herself went to Twitter and gave her own weigh-in, stating that Glee was amazing.

Last night’s tribute fans can catch the cast wearing full Gaga regalia on the “Glee Live! In Concert!” tours that are making their way current across the United States.

Lady Gaga Taps into Her Spiritual Side on New Album

Posted by Chase Jackson On May - 24 - 2010

Lady Gaga, in an interview with London’s The Times, delves deep into a variety of different topics, including religion, wealth, health, love and life to name a few.  From what it sounds like, she will be addressing all of these things with her new album.

Gaga told The Times, you know the saying if you could in one sentence say who you are and what your life’s about, that’s it.  That’s the whole album.  I recently had a miracle-like experience.  I feel more connected with God.

When Caitlin Moran from The Times asked Lady Gaga to clarify, she was clear that her new album wouldn’t be shying away from such subjects as religion and God, but that the scope would not be limited only to her Christian upbringing.  She explained that the goal was exploring in a broader, all-encompassing sense.

Gaga says, it’s more spiritual.  I can’t say too much.  I want things to remain a secret until the album comes out.  I will say this, religion is quite confusing for everybody, especially me.  I feel there isn’t any religion that doesn’t condemn or hate a certain type of people.  I completely believe in not excluding anyone and in forgiveness and love.

Lady Gaga also said that despite that fact that she was in the middle of her world tour that is seemingly endless, that every day she is recording music.  She says, in fact, that she has almost completed most of  the new album that will follow up her incredibly successful “The Fame Monster” and “The Fame.”  However, she was silent about when her fans would be able to hear it.

Gaga said, I can’t say yet.  Everyone will f—ing know when it is going to come out.

Lady Gaga Queues Up Concert Dates in 2011

Lady Gaga has sold out a majority of her 2010 “Monster Ball Tour” shows months in advance. The singer is now focusing on next year.

So far the North American 2011 Monster Ball Tour contains 10 dates scheduled over the course of two months. The trek will kick off in Atlantic City, NJ on February 19. The 2011 outing will follow several months of European dates which follow the upcoming North American summer tour. Lady Gaga’s 2010 summer tour will kick off in Montreal on June 28 and will wrap up on September 19 in Raleigh, NC.

On May 14, tickets will be going on sale for Lady Gaga’s 2011 shows. Semi Precious Weapons, glam rockers from New York who backed Lady Gaga’s 2010 dates, are once again scheduled to be the openers on her 2011 trek.

Lady Gaga’s Monster Ball Tour is in support of “The Fame Monster,” her second studio album which was released last fall. The set peaked on Billboard’s 200 chart in the No. 5 spot and reached the No. 1 spot on charts in the UK, Switzerland, Poland, Ireland,Germany and Finland and spawned No. 1 hit singles “Poker Face” and “Just Dance.”

In December, Gaga’s Monster Ball tour was launched shortly after the planned co-headlining trek with Kayne West got canceled abruptly.

It’s funny, Lady Gaga said. After the tour with Kayne was canceled, I wasn’t sure if I would be able to get a show put together for my fans in time. I really didn’t want them to be disappointed by me not touring during Christmas. I had this new album coming out. The thing that is exciting about the show was being able to put something together that, truthfully, I wouldn’t have done had there been more time.
