Lady Gaga Passes Out Three Times During New Zealand Concert

Posted by Janice Bryant On March - 26 - 2010

During her concert in New Zealand, Lady Gaga passed out three different times due to being jet lagged.

Last week, the pop singer caused concerns for her health after she fainted multiple times during a New Zealand concert.

Lady Gaga, who is 23 years old, is now insisting she isn’t suffering from an illness but during the concert was very tired.

On Kyle and Jackie O, an Australian radio show, Lady Gaga said she was very jet lagged.

Three times that night, I passed out on stage, but I was able to get myself back to the floor. I would rather die while on the stage than have to walk off from passing out.

Since her fainting spells, Gaga has had two concert performances in Melbourne. She didn’t appear to be unsteady at all.

In recent months, Lady Gaga’s schedule has been very hectic. In January, she had to cancel several shows in the US due to exhaustion.

After Lady Gaga finishes her outings in Europe, Asia and Australia, she will be setting out this summer for the second leg of North America of the pop superstar’s “Monster Ball Tour.”

Lady Gaga will be bringing her pop-electro opera to North America once again starting with a Montreal performance on June 28. The outing will be hitting arenas across North America and wrap up in Raleigh, NC on September 19. So far over 30 dates are confirmed. More shows are expected to be added.

Starting March 19, tickets will be going on sale for most of the shows via Ticketmaster. Advance tickets will be accessible to Virgin Mobile customers beginning on March 16.

In an interview that Lady Gaga did with Ryan Seacrest last month she said, the tour is called Monster Ball. However it more a musical than it is a concert. The theme is about New York. It tells a story. The story is about my friends and I in New York. We are on our way to attend the Monster Ball, but we get lost.

“Monster Ball” is in support of “The Fame Monster,” Lady Gaga’s second album that was released last fall. The new set peaked in the no. 5 spot on Billboard’s 200 chart. In the UK, Switzerland, Poland, Ireland, Germany and Finland it reached No. 1 on the album charts.

Earlier this month, Lady Gage released a video for “Telephone,” her latest single. The jail themed video, which features Beyonce, can be viewed on Lady Gaga’s website.
